The event began outside of Bl. Frassati Student Center with an hors d’oeuvres hour. Students and tutors chatted as they sampled meat and cheese from elegantly arranged charcuterie boards. After an hour of delightful conversation, they moved inside for dinner, where they were greeted with a refreshing spring salad. Student waiters brought out plates of Brazilian steak, paired with an assortment of savory vegetables.

In the final school-wide musical event of the year, the Thomas Aquinas College Choir and Orchestra put on a spring concert in the Bl. Frassati Student Center last Saturday.

The first half of the concert was dedicated to Our Lady, with pieces building up to Pergolesi’s magnificent Magnificat. “The whole first act is an ode to Mary, Mother of God,” explained Stephen Grimm (’75), who directs the choir and orchestra on the New England campus. “We start with pieces representing the angel coming to announce the good news, and the Magnificat is Mary’s glorious response.”
