Deadlines for Freshmen Submitting Financial Aid Forms


Form

Deadlines for FRESHMEN

Thomas Aquinas College's Confidential Family Financial Statement (CFFS) submitted to the College.

MARCH 3, 2008 or 30 days after acceptance, whichever is later.

Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) submitted online or paper copy sent to federal processor.

MARCH 3, 2008 or 30 days after acceptance, whichever is later. Cal Grant applicants must submit a FAFSA by March 3, 2008.

A signed copy of parents’ and student’s federal tax returns with all W-2s, schedules, attachments and K-1s, submitted to the College.
Postmarked by APRIL 15, 2008 or 30 days after acceptance, whichever is later. Any early financial aid awards are tentative until the College receives and reviews the required tax information.

Cal Grant GPA Verification Form* submitted to the California Student Aid Commission.

MARCH 3, 2008. Be sure to make a photocopy and obtain a Certificate of Mailing from the Post Office.

MARCH 3, 2008

A signed copy of parents’ and student’s federal tax returns with all W-2s, schedules, attachments and K-1s.
Returning students need not submit federal tax returns to the Financial Aid Office unless their FAFSA is selected for "verification" or the Financial Aid Office specifically requests a copy.

Cal Grant GPA Verification Form* submitted to the California Student Aid Commission.

Sophomores in 2008-09: Since you have fewer than 24 college credits, you must submit a high school GPA. Be sure to make a photocopy and obtain a Certificate of Mailing from the Post Office.
Juniors/Seniors in 2008-09: Since you have more than 24 college credits, Thomas Aquinas College will submit your college GPA on your behalf by March 3, 2008.

* Thomas Aquinas College expects all financial aid applicants who are permanent residents of California to apply for a Cal Grant each year, unless they already have a Cal Grant award.
