Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required of U.S. citizens and is sent directly to the federal processor. Thomas Aquinas College requires that parental income and asset information be included on the FAFSA for both dependent and independent students.

The FAFSA can be completed on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. A paper version of the FAFSA can be obtained from the college counseling offices at most high schools or from the Financial Aid Office at Thomas Aquinas College.

The FAFSA processor will send the results to the College so long as the College's school code is entered in the appropriate section of the FAFSA. The school code for Thomas Aquinas College is 023580.

Cal Grant (California residents only)

Thomas Aquinas College expects all financial aid applicants who are permanent residents of California to apply for a Cal Grant each year, unless they already have a Cal Grant award.

Freshmen and Sophomores in 2008-09: Since you have fewer than 24 college credits, you must submit a high school GPA. The GPA Verification Form is available at most high schools, Thomas Aquinas College's Financial Aid Office, or directly from CSAC by calling (888) 224-7268. The GPA form is also available on the CSAC website at http://www.csac.ca.gov/doc.asp?ID=1177. Be sure to make a photocopy and obtain a Certificate of Mailing from the Post Office.

Juniors/Seniors in 2008-09: Since you have more than 24 college credits, Thomas Aquinas College will submit your college GPA electronically on your behalf by March 3, 2008.
