Knights and Dames of Malta from the greater Los Angeles area came to the campus of Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday for a day of reflection on a Lenten theme, “Faith and Suffering.”

As in the past, Rev. Msgr. Salvatore Pilato, a chaplain for the Order of Malta and superintendent for Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, led the day’s events. The morning began with a presentation in the College’s new classroom building, St. Gladys Hall, followed by a group discussion. Attendees then prayed the Rosary and attended Mass with the College’s students in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel. After lunch in St. Joseph Commons, they prayed the Chapel’s Stations of the Cross, then returned to St. Gladys Hall for a final conference. The day concluded in the Chapel with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and benediction.

Spending the day together in prayer and reflection has fortified us well for these next four weeks of Lent.”
