
The Toby Caplan-Stonefield Flute Trio To Perform At Thomas
Aquinas College

Renowned flutist Toby Caplan-Stonefield, and her cellist
and pianist accompaniments, will perform a selection of classical
pieces at the campus of Thomas Aquinas College on Friday,
September 27, 2002. The concert will include works by C.P.E.
Bach, Mozart, Godard, Poulenc, and Saint-Saens, among others.
Ms. Caplan-Stonefield became a member of the Los Angeles
Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of twenty, and has played
under the direction of more than thirty of the worlds
greatest conductors. Since then, she has been in numerous
orchestras throughout Southern California and was the principal
flute for the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera.
She performs regularly with several chamber music groups,
and as a soloist, and is currently the principal flute for
the Valley Symphony Orchestra. She is also the Chair of the
Wind Department at the Southern California Conservatory of
Music, and is in demand as a master class teacher.
She will be accompanied by pianist Paul Switzer and cellist
Jan Kelley.
The concert is free to members of the public and will begin
at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph Commons on the College campus.
