Insight Magazine Proclaims Thomas Aquinas College To Be One of 15 Best U.S. Colleges

(September 9, 2002)

Insight magazine, a publication of the Washington Times Corporation, has named Thomas Aquinas College to its list of top 15 colleges in the nation [insightmag.com]. In its September 9, 2002 issue, Insight’s top 15 colleges included:

Three public schools:

James Madison College at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI
St. Mary’s College of Maryland, St. Mary’s City, MD
College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA

Three private schools:

Claremont McKenna College, Claremont, CA
Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, MI
St. John’s College, Annapolis, Md., and Santa Fe, N.M.

Five Protestant/Evangelical Christian schools:

Calvin College, Grand Rapids, MI
Grove City College, Grove City, PA
Hampden-Sydney College, Hampden-Sydney, VA
College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, MO
Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL

Four Roman Catholic schools:

Thomas Aquinas College, Santa Paula, CA
University of Dallas, Dallas, TX
Franciscan University of Steubenville, Steubenville, OH
Christendom College, Front Royal, VA

Thomas Aquinas College and Claremont McKenna College were the only California colleges to make the list. Pepperdine University in Malibu, however, was listed among “Another 15 Excellent Colleges to Consider.”
