HIGH MARKS FOR VALUE & YIELD
College Draws Top Rankings from Princeton Review, USA Today, and U.S. News
Thomas Aquinas College is once again one of the nation’s “Best Value” schools according to The Princeton Review and USA Today. It is the only Catholic college in California to be so named, and one of only five Catholic institutions in the country, along with Boston College, the College of the Holy Cross, Georgetown University, and the University of Notre Dame.
Meanwhile, in its 2012 survey, U.S. News & World Report has ranked the College as one of “The Most Popular Liberal Arts Colleges” in the United States. The newsweekly found that 69.1 percent of the applicants admitted to the College go on to enroll as freshmen in the fall — the seventh-highest “yield” rate in the country.

DEFENDING CONSCIENCE
President McLean Discusses the HHS Mandate on Relevant Radio
Thomas Aquinas College President Michael F. McLean recently appeared on Relevant Radio’s “Morning Air” program with host Sean Herriott, where he discussed the HHS contraceptive mandate. “As a Catholic educational institution which defines itself by its fidelity to the teaching authority of the Church, we are very concerned about this mandate, and we are determined to do the best we can to join with others in fighting the mandate and urging that it be rescinded,” said Dr. McLean. “Short of it being rescinded, we intend to cooperate with efforts both in Congress and in the judiciary to mitigate the impact of the mandate.”
