CELEBRATING 40 yEARS
College Hosts Anniversary Gala

On September 17, 2011, Thomas Aquinas College hosted its 40th Anniversary Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., the first of several celebrations throughout the year. The evening began with a Mass of Thanksgiving, at which the Most Rev. José H. Gomez served as the principal celebrant, joined at the altar by numerous concelebrants. Then, at the celebratory dinner, the Rev. Wojciech Giertych, O.P., theologian of the papal household, served as keynote speaker.

AluM: MARY, MOTHER OF THE  UNBORN, AND THE  PRO-LIFE CAUSE

From the Faith in Action blog: Greg Pfundstein (’05), Executive Director of the Chiaroscuro Foundation, recently discovered that one New York zip code has a dramatically lower abortion rate than the rest of the city — and it is home to a chapel dedicated to the Blessed Mother in her capacity as mother and defender of the unborn.
