The Floriani perform afront a beautiful reredos

What began as a small student choir at Thomas Aquinas College in late 2017 has become Floriani, a highly sought-after men’s vocal ensemble — dedicated to preserving the Church’s heritage of sacred music — which performs both nationwide and overseas.

The Norbertine Fathers of St. Michael’s Abbey welcomed their newest postulants on August 27, and among them were four Thomas Aquinas College alumni, including Patrick Cross (’14), who is foregoing a successful career in political cartooning to pursue his vocation.

Alumnus videographer Jacob Schmiedicke (’09) has brought the story of Irish advocate Daniel O’Connell to life in a new independent film, The Liberator, produced in collaboration numerous TAC alumni and friends.
