After nightfall on Holy Saturday came the Easter Vigil — the culmination of both the Triduum and of the entire liturgical year — as the entire campus gathered outside the Chapel, shrouded in darkness. After the blessing of the fire and the Easter candle, the priests, acolytes, and congregation began to fill the Chapel, each bearing a candle. Then, as soon as Chaplain Rev. Carlos Viego finished intoning the Gloria, the lights came on, bells began ringing, and all voices in the choir came together in glorious harmony. Our Lord Jesus Christ has resurrected, conquering sin and death!
