Alumnus priest Rev. Sebastian Walshe, O. Praem. (’94), recently appeared on EWTN’s Journey Home program. Over the course of the one-hour interview, Fr. Sebastian, a professor of philosophy at St. Michael’s Abbey Seminary, recounts his conversion from the Lutheranism of his youth to his adolescent discovery of the Catholic faith — a discovery in which his alma mater played a profound role.

“It was really my time at Thomas Aquinas College that deepened my Catholic faith,” says Fr. Sebastian. “I went from being what I might call ‘an American parish Catholic’ to a traditional Catholic that really understood deeply the elements of the Faith. It was there that I first started seriously thinking about a vocation.”
