According to the Catholic Church’s General Norms for the Liturgical Year and Calendar, the anniversary of the dedication of a church is to be celebrated as a solemnity by the members of the community in which it exists. As such, March 7 is doubly significant at Thomas Aquinas College, New England, for it marks the date of the death of the College’s patron, St. Thomas Aquinas, in 1274, as well as the Dedication of Our Mother of the Perpetual Help Chapel in 2009.
