Andrew Baird (’04) has written in with an update on his medical condition:

Hello all!

Andrew Baird (’04) is in a Wisconsin hospital, suffering from cancer throughout his lungs, pelvis, and upper body. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Catherine (Connelly ’11) O’Brien has successfully defended her thesis on marriage and the family, thereby completing her master’s degree in theology at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. Making Mrs.

“Where did it all go wrong?” asks alumnus architect Erik Bootsma (’01), in a recent lecture before Chicago’s Catholic Arts Guild, “Turning the Tide of the 20th Century: Restoring Beauty in Sacred Architecture.” (See video, above.)

During the week, Richena Curphey (’02) serves as the College’s head librarian, but on the weekend she goes by another name — “Miss Richena” — and serves an altogether different role as a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) catechist at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Fillmore, California.
