Committed for four years to Thomas Aquinas College’s rigorous Great Books curriculum, students do not have much time to spare on a typical weekday. To help students approach their finances with prudence and confidence, Ray Walshe, regional vice president of Starr Insurance, spoke about financial responsibility on a recent visit to Thomas Aquinas College’s California campus.

Mr. Walshe, father of two TAC alumni, (’94), gave generously of his time and expertise in a two-hour personal finance workshop. The workshop, “A Financial Primer for the Soon-to-Be College Graduate,” was a crash course in money management, equipping students to avoid unnecessary debt and make thoughtful investing choices.
