The day after their New England counterparts joined hundreds of thousands of Americans in marching for life in Washington, D.C,. the students of Thomas Aquinas College, California, made the case for life on the West Coast at the 16th annual Walk for Life in San Francisco.
Dozens of Thomas Aquinas College students traveled to Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday for OneLife LA — the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ annual event to promote the beauty and dignity of all human life. Pictures from the event are available in the slideshow at the bottom of this page.
As part of their Lenten observance, as many as 50 Thomas Aquinas College students have taken part in the 40 Days for Life prayer vigils outside the Ventura, California, Planned Parenthood.
On Saturday afternoon some 20 Thomas Aquinas College students gathered at the Ventura Planned Parenthood to sing Christmas Carols, “spreading the joy of Christ,” as senior Rachel Rivera described it, “to those who are blind to the joy of birth.” In an effort to encourage hope, the group, organized by junior Ryan Uchison,
“We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You,” intoned Thomas Aquinas College’s head chaplain, Rev. Joseph Illo. In reply, some 200 voices answered, “Because, by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.”
