Cruisin’ for a good time, students of Thomas Aquinas College, California traveled back in time to the 1950s last Saturday night for the annual Mardi Gras dance.
The freshmen, hosting their first dance as a class, invited their fellow students to a ‘50s-themed Sock Hop held in St. Joseph Commons, which was decked out for the occasion with streamers and decorated to look like a retro diner. The Freshman Class served up hamburger sliders and fries, and soda jerks were on hand behind the bar to scoop ice-cream sundaes for dancers with a sweet tooth.
