When she graduated from Thomas Aquinas College, California, in 2008, Meghan Duke never imagined that she would one day join its teaching faculty, let alone at a new campus in New England. She never even expected to attend graduate school.

Growing up in Dallas and Houston, Texas, Joshua Lo (’12) nurtured dreams of becoming a concert cellist. Yet he reconsidered those dreams when he enrolled at Thomas Aquinas College in 2008. “I loved it,” he says. “I wanted to continue thinking about these matters for the rest of my life.”

“I first came across Thomas Aquinas College through its website many years ago,” says Rodrigo Ribeiro, who joined the New England teaching faculty at the start of the academic year. “I thought about applying then to come as a student, but at that point I was halfway through law school — and in Brazil — so I ended up putting it aside.”

With Christmas break on the horizon, the men’s and women’s residence halls at Thomas Aquinas College, New England, prepared for the season last weekend by hosting decorating parties.

The men of St. Augustine Hall tackled the challenge of putting lights up outside, finding creative solutions to decorate the building with Christmas cheer. Inside, some chatted over hot cocoa, while others dug through boxes of ornaments to decorate a thematic tree.
