On Tuesday, in between Don Rags sections, Thomas Aquinas College students made their way over to St. Augustine Hall for the semi-annual campus blood drive. United Blood Service set up a makeshift clinic in one of the classrooms, and students dropped by throughout the day.

On Saturday evening the St. Genesius Players treated Thomas Aquinas College students, faculty, and families to a production of William Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, presented in a modern setting.

The above video, which aired live on EWTN on January 23, comes from this year’s Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco. It features three of the more than 200 Thomas Aquinas College students who attended this year’s Walk — Jessica Pipes (’16), Emily Sanchez (’17), and Kevin Eubanks (’18) — who discuss their commitment to the pro-life cause and its connection to the College’s motto, Truth Matters.

A Tutor Talk by Dr. Joseph P. Hattrup

Note: Periodically members of the Thomas Aquinas College teaching faculty or chaplaincy present informal lectures, followed by question-and-answer sessions, on campus. These late-afternoon gatherings afford an opportunity for speakers to discuss topics of great interest to them and to share their thoughts with other members of the community. Dr. Joseph P. On Sunday the College’s Office of Career Advisement hosted a Career Strategies Workshop about job discernment, networking, résumé- and cover-letter writing, and interview preparation. Leading the discussion were three graduates of the College who — having worked for several of the country’s most prominent corporations — were able to share their wisdom about how best to apply the benefits of a Catholic liberal education in the marketplace.

Thomas Aquinas College’s newly appointed regional auxiliary bishop, His Excellency Robert Barron, paid an informal visit to its Santa Paula campus this past Monday evening. Coming at the invitation of a member of the student body, the Bishop took time to get to know students personally, offering them encouragement and spiritual fortification.
