At a special Mass and celebratory dinner in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, members of the Thomas Aquinas College community gave thanks for and to a stalwart champion of the Catholic Church and her works, Richard A. Grant.

Last Saturday the College’s Office of Career Advisement hosted a Career Strategies Workshop for students on the California campus, who participated in person, and for New England students, who took part via video teleconference. “The goal of today is to give you a broad and overarching look at the process of discerning a career,” Director of Student Services Scott Benigar told students on both coasts. “That includes finding which job is for you, putting together a résumé and cover letter, and the interview process.”

Another beloved Thomas Aquinas College tradition has been replicated and adapted for the College’s newly opened campus in Northfield, Massachusetts: the Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas. On Monday, January 28, students and faculty on both coasts celebrated the occasion with a fitting combination of prayer, scholarship, and fun.

For 16 years, the students of Thomas Aquinas College have made the annual, 375-mile trek to San Francisco, where they have participated in each and every Walk for Life West Coast. This year, for the first, time, the College’s students also participated in the National March for Life in Washington, D.C., thanks to the opening of Thomas Aquinas College, New England, last fall.

The day after their New England counterparts joined hundreds of thousands of Americans in marching for life in Washington, D.C,. the students of Thomas Aquinas College, California, made the case for life on the West Coast at the 16th annual Walk for Life in San Francisco.

Last weekend the campus of Thomas Aquinas College, California, was blessed with a visit from a new friend, His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto.

“For many years I have looked forward to visiting Thomas Aquinas College because I have heard so much about its excellence as a Catholic college where faith and reason come together magnificently,” says Cardinal Collins. “I was delighted to have the chance finally to visit the College and to see this beautiful campus whose beauty is itself an incentive to grow in the love of truth and goodness.”
