Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux

“If you ask members of our early graduating classes, especially the women, you will find that there has always been a lively devotion to St. Thérèse of Lisieux at Thomas Aquinas College,” says President Michael F. McLean. “She is the namesake of one of our residence halls; her statue stands in a prayer garden named in her honor; students place flowers at the statue’s base and offer novenas for her intercession.”

Whether he is raising the thundering peals of the organ during Sunday Mass, rehearsing the student choir to perfection, or giving quality musical instruction to any that ask, Stephen Grimm (’75) is bringing first-rate music to Thomas Aquinas College, New England — just as he did as a member of the College’s first class in California nearly 50 years ago.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Irene Montgomery, whose husband, Mark, is a member of the Thomas Aquinas College Board of Governors. After a long battle with cancer, Mrs. Montgomery passed away at her family’s home last night.

“Irene was a beautiful soul who loved and strongly supported Thomas Aquinas College,” says President Michael F. McLean. “She and her husband, Mark, were a wonderful couple, filled with Christ's love for one another and for the Church. We will miss her but will remember her fondly.”

Dear friend,

In my 70 years of religious life, I have been blessed to serve at several colleges, and at each one the experience has been even better than the last. That’s why I like to call my time at Thomas Aquinas College “the cherry on top of the whipped cream” — the very best yet.
