New England

With their last-ever final examination behind them, the seniors of Thomas Aquinas College, New England, burst out of the Library this afternoon, embracing one another with cheers and hurrahs. In keeping with a tradition from the California campus, they then took a celebratory swim — in the nearby Connecticut River.

“It feels so good to finally be done, and the water felt amazing,” said Sophie Steigerwald (’22).

Continuing with the tradition, the soon-to-be graduates  then congregated in Gould Commons at lunchtime to announce the Senior Boast. Led by Nathan Andrues (’22), they vociferously and boisterously declared their achievements over the last four years, while also letting the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors know exactly how much work the younger classes still have to do. With a thunderous reception, the room erupted into an encore of applause in gratitude and congratulations for the Class of 2022.
