“The important things for the future of Thomas Aquinas College,” said President Michael F. McLean on the latest episode of the Core Principles podcast, “are our continued commitment to our educational mission, fidelity to our founding principles, and continuing our successful launch of the New England campus.”

Dr. McLean appeared on the popular show with host Clay Howerton on June 8 to discuss the College, its unique academic program, and the launch of the Northfield, Massachusetts, campus two years ago. Among the subjects he discussed were the Great Books, the College’s integrated curriculum, and its high graduation rate.

“We take our fidelity to the Catholic Church very seriously. We start from the premise that there is truth and that, really, the truth is most manifest in Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself,” said Dr. McLean. “So the study of Catholic theology becomes fundamental here, and the Catholic Church over the centuries has really commended St. Thomas Aquinas to the Church as its principle theologian, so our Catholic convictions sort of lead us inexorably to the study of Aquinas as the central figure.”
