Last weekend, Thomas Aquinas College, New England, hosted a career fair, giving students an opportunity to connect with a range of potential employers, businesses, and postgraduate opportunities open to a liberal arts major.

The event was of great interest to students, especially upperclassmen, as they consider their prospects for summer jobs and life after graduation. The attending employers were from a variety of different schools and businesses, including — among many in attendance — Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata, Checkwriters, FOCUS Missionaries, Seton Teaching Fellows, and Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business. Some of the employers were also TAC alumni, who were able to give students a better understanding of what they can achieve upon completion of the program.

On the day of the event, students shared lunch with the visiting employers, getting to know them in a casual and personable setting before entering into more formal conversations. Following this introduction, students met with employers in St. Frassati Student Center. Potential applicants moved from table to table asking questions, listening to job descriptions, and networking. The event concluded with follow-up interviews for those interested.

“There are a lot of excellent opportunities here, and it’s a reminder of all that we are gaining by this education,” observed Gabriel Stec (NE’27).
