California
With great joy, members of the Class of 2023 received their diplomas this morning at the 49th annual Commencement of Thomas Aquinas College, California. Always bittersweet, this day of farewells was especially so for this year’s graduates, who missed the presence of their late classmate, Maggie Yanoschik (’23).
Alongside 74 diplomas, Thomas Aquinas College dispensed its highest honors to friends and benefactors at this year’s California Commencement.
After raucously celebrating the conclusion of their studies by jumping in the pool and boasting of their accomplishments, the seniors in California settled down on Wednesday evening for a more refined celebration: the President’s Dinner.
On Wednesday, as members of the California Senior Class completed their last final examination, they greeted one another with hugs and congratulations on the academic quadrangle. After all had arrived they then took part in a celebratory swim at the Pope St. John Paul II Athletic Center!

After the sophomores and juniors honored the Class of 2023, the faculty, likewise, took its turn wishing the soon-to-be-graduates well — with a little friendly competition! Wednesday witnessed their faceoff at the annual Senior-Tutor Softball game, which concluded with the traditional Senior Thesis Draft Burning Party.
