One of three Thomas Aquinas College students who participated in this summer’s Crossroads pro-life walks across America, Sophie Macik (’15) describes the experience in a recent interview with From the Median on WHK Radio in her hometown of Cleveland.

Timothy Teague, an Ojai-based photographer who has been shooting key Thomas Aquinas College events for some 20 years, recently visited the campus to capture a day in the life of the College. The result is a fabulous collection of some 300 photos — from the Chapel, to the residence halls, to the classrooms — that can be found in his online gallery. Highlights of the photos are available in the slideshow below:

Framing is under way for St. Gladys Hall! The College’s next classroom building is due to be complete in time for the start of the next academic year in August, 2014.

Looking out from the loggia of Our Lady of the Most Holy Chapel, a camera sweeps across the Thomas Aquinas College campus. The sun rises above the foothills surrounding the Los Padres National Forest, and a voice asks, What do I know and what do I not know?

Each fall the sophomores, juniors, and seniors take turns hosting welcome events for the new freshman class. This past weekend, the seniors took their turn, holding an informal Saturday-night dance with a Willy Wonka theme — complete with Oompa-Loompas.

On Friday night, the College hosted the inaugural concert of this year’s St. Vincent DePaul Lecture and Concert Series. Members of the Symbiosis Ensemble played music by Mozart and Haydn in St. Joseph Commons. After the concert, the annual Students vs. Tutors game of Trivial Pursuit took place in the Dumb Ox Café.
