Today marks the 93rd birthday of Thomas Aquinas College’s beloved Jesuit chaplain, Rev. Cornelius M. Buckley, S.J. To celebrate the occasion, the community surprised Fr. Buckley at lunchtime with a spiritual bouquet, several gifts, and a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” and “For He's a Jolly Good Fellow.” See video, below:

The rafters of St. Joseph Commons were filled with lights on Saturday night, creating a suitably festive atmosphere for this year’s Halloween Dance, sponsored by the Sophomore Class. The evening included a costume parade, feasting, and plenty of swing dancing:

Some 200 friends of Thomas Aquinas College gathered on its New England campus on Sunday, rejoicing in the news that the College will soon offer its program of Catholic liberal education on the East Coast. “We have endeavored to trust in the Lord throughout this entire process,” said President Michael F.

On Sunday, October 21, Thomas Aquinas College students performed in the first of this year’s two informal concerts — “Schubertiades” — in St. Cecilia Hall. To mark the midpoint of the semester, on Tuesday evening students gathered for “Open-Mic Night,” a semi-annual, outdoor showcase of musical talents.

On Tuesday, in between Don Rags sessions, Thomas Aquinas College students made their way over to St. Augustine Hall for the semi-annual campus blood drive. United Blood Service set up a makeshift clinic in one of the classrooms, and students dropped by throughout the day.

Culminating a process that began in the spring of 2017, Thomas Aquinas College has received approval from the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education to operate a second campus in Western Massachusetts, where it will award the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts. The decision sets the stage for Thomas Aquinas College, New England, to open its doors in fall 2019.
