Students on the College’s new campus in Northfield, Massachusetts, held  an outdoor social last Friday complete with scarves, cider, and donuts. With the campus aglow in fall foliage, some couldn’t resist the urge to jump into the large, freshly raked piles of bright leaves. They are making the most of the New England autumn!

One year ago, Thomas Aquinas College tutor Dr. Travis Cooper and his wife, Briena (Dunkel ’06), requested prayers, for their then 8-year-old son, Damian. Those prayers, made through the intercession of Venerable Mother Luisita, foundress of the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles, have borne tremendous fruit. Damian’s surgery and treatment for the bone cancer in his leg have been successful. He is now in remission and cancer free!

Some 28 Massachusetts priests and deacons from Franklin and Hampshire counties met for their bimonthly meeting Monday on the site of the newest Catholic institution in the vicariate: Thomas Aquinas College, New England.

“It was a wonderful evening,” says Rev. Msgr. Ronald G. Yargeau, episcopal vicar of the Franklin and Hampshire deaneries. “We were received with great kindness and graciousness, and we were able to interact a bit with the students and join them for the Rosary. I think we were all duly impressed.”
