On the morning of August 24, Thomas Aquinas College, New England, held its inaugural Convocation exercises, welcoming 28 freshmen and 30 sophomores from some 20 states and 5 countries — the very first students on the Northfield, Massachusetts, campus.

Thomas Aquinas College accepted this campus from the National Christian Foundation in May of 2017 with deep humility and a profound sense of gratitude.

Thursday marked the first full day of Freshman Orientation for the members of Thomas Aquinas College’s California Class of 2023, who arrived Wednesday. The morning began with a student orientation, followed by Mass, registration, and the freshmen’s first seminar — an examination of C.S. Lewis’ “Learning in Wartime.” That evening the Freshman Soirée took place on the academic quadrangle:

Members of the Class of 2023 began arriving on the California campus Wednesday morning for the start of the 2019-20 academic year. That evening the College hosted a barbeque for freshmen and their families …

… and then an ice-cream social for the new students and their siblings:

Meanwhile, parents attended an orientation in St. Cecilia Hall, followed by a reception with members of the faculty on St. Gladys Plaza:

Orientation will continue today, in preparation for the start of the academic year at Convocation on Monday.
