Over the course of nine days this summer, the alumni men’s choral group Floriani will host a sacred music Collegium at Thomas Aquinas College, California, where participants will be immersed in music and liturgy within Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel.

The Collegium exists to nurture musicians who will guide the future of Catholic sacred music. Led by Floriani members Thomas Quackenbush (’14), Giorgio Navarini (’17), Graham Crawley (’20), and Lee Rea (’23), 60 men and women from across the nation will gain a deeper understanding of and reverence for the liturgy and its music, learn and practice conducting techniques, and — of course — sing a plethora of Gregorian chant and polyphony.

The Collegium will take place from July 24 – August 1, 2026, on the California campus. Under the Chapel’s bright arches and acoustic ceilings, participants will partake in choral workshops, surrounded by beauty as they glorify the Lord in song. Each day offers an evening High Mass and Compline, followed by time for fellowship in the College’s café.

“The foundation of the Collegium is the liturgy, and something that flows from that beautifully is this strong sense of community and camaraderie,” said Floriani’s Graham Crawley in a promotional video. “We’re all here for a common act, which is the worship of God, to use our voices and uplift them toward Heaven.”

When not engaged in song, students will study and discuss the philosophy of liturgy and music through texts by authors such as Pope St. Pius X, Benedict XVI, Dietrich Von Hildebrand, and St. Thomas Aquinas. The Collegium will conclude with a banquet and concert, featuring all the pieces learned over the course of the program.

Applications for the Collegium are open now, so apply today to seize the opportunity to learn from sacred music masters, grow as a leader, and help bring about a sacred music revival in the Church.
