By God’s grace, Thomas Aquinas College’s 76th and 77th alumni priests will be ordained this Saturday!

At 9:00 a.m., the Most Rev. José H. Gomez, Archbishop of Los Angeles, will confer the Sacrament of Holy Orders upon Rev. Mr. Michael Masteller (’13), making him the first alumnus priest in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The Ordination Mass will be livestreamed from the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels via the Archdiocese’ Facebook page. Tonight, you can pray for Deacon Masteller and his fellow L.A. ordinandi at a Virtual Holy Hour that is being offered for their intentions.

Some 90 minutes after the start of the L.A. Ordination Mass, and some 300 miles to the north, the Most Rev. Salvatore J. Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco, will ordain Br. John Winkowitsch, O.P. (’04), to the sacred priesthood at St. Dominic Church. Br. John is one of 11 alumni members of the Dominican Friars of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, and he will be the fifth ordained to the priesthood. His Ordination Mass will be livestreamed via the Western Dominicans’ You Tube channel.

Please keep both Deacon Masteller and Br. John in your prayers!
