“What a blessing to be able to pray together, encircling the world in prayer!” says Berni Neal, a Thomas Aquinas College governor, in WorldPriest’s new video promoting its thirteenth annual Global Rosary Relay.

On June 24, 2022 — the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus — the communities of Thomas Aquinas College on both coasts will gather in their respective chapels to pray the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary, imploring the Blessed Mother to extend her love and maternal care to all priests of the world. TAC’s chapels will be just two of over 300 prayer locations participating in this event. The goal is an international prayer chain in which members of the faithful across the world take turns praying a designated set of mysteries, ensuring a full 24 hours of continual prayer.

Participants in California will gather in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, while 3,000 miles east and three hours ahead, the faithful in New England will convene at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel. The event will begin at 6:45 p.m. PDT / 9:45 p.m. EDT, as the two campuses accept the spiritual baton from St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Illinois, and lead the recitation of the Joyful Mysteries on their respective coasts.

As members of the College community pray for priests across the globe, they will be mindful of the 80 priests among the alumni, entrusting them to the maternal protection of Our Blessed Mother, as her priestly sons take up the Cross of courageously preaching the Gospel, “in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2).
