Fr. Marczewski blesses statue of Our Lady

A new statue of the Virgin Mother and the Christ Child now stands in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, a parting gift from the California Class of 2025.

After an early evening Mass on Wednesday, students and faculty gathered in the Chapel for the dedication of the statue. Emmett Gallivan (’25), the president of the Senior Class, spoke on behalf of his classmates about the gift. “As the graduating Class of 2025, we wanted to leave behind more than just memories: we wanted to leave behind a symbol,” he said. “Mary in her humility and strength has been a model for us throughout our years here. In placing this statue here in the Chapel, we entrust future students to her, to her care, her purity, and her courage.”

Rev. Robert Marczewski, the campus’s head chaplain, blessed the statue, which will continue to stand as a reminder to students of the faith and wisdom that they seek to emulate in their studies at Thomas Aquinas College.
