Students completed their final week of classes on Friday, bringing the semester to a close on the New England campus.

As the clock struck 3:30 and the final classes let out, students came pouring out of St. Gianna Molla Hall and Billings Hall, elated to have completed their seminars and tutorials. Prefects were waiting on Gould Lawn with popcorn, popsicles, and lemonade. The sky was blue, and the sun was shining, creating the perfect atmosphere for students to celebrate their achievement. “That’s a wrap on freshman year,” said Raphael Martin (’28). “As soon as finals are over, we’ll be sophomores.”

Of course, there was a slight tinge of sadness as students congratulated the soon-to-graduate seniors, who had already begun their finals. “I keep thinking about all the things that I’ll miss,” said Christopher Wolfenden (’25). “The people, the community, and the sacraments especially.”

Finals were to begin soon, but students were glad to take the opportunity to kick back and relax for a spell before the upcoming week of studying the cumulation of all they learned over the semester. Pray for the students as they begin their examinations this week!
