On a serene and sunny afternoon, students at Thomas Aquinas College, New England, gathered on the athletic field for the annual Turkey Bowl — a football game between the upperclassmen and underclassmen, usually timed for Thanksgiving. Delayed repeatedly due to other events and inclement weather, the long-awaited game finally took place last Friday, giving the classes their shot for momentary glory and bragging rights.

To celebrate winter’s end, the Freshmen Class of Thomas Aquinas College, New England, treated upperclassmen to a Spring Formal on Saturday night with a flashback in time, transforming Tracy Student Center to 80 A.D. for an evening of escapade and community. 

“We were torn between an ’80s theme and an ancient Roman theme, so we decided to throw them both together,” explained Juliana Bafundo (’25), who oversaw the decorations. “I’m pretty sure you’ll never have a dance like this again!”

In the waning days of Lent and at the opening of Holy Week, the students of Thomas Aquinas College, New England, prepared for the Easter Triduum — Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Holy Saturday. The Easter Triduum holds a special place in the liturgical year, marking the memorial of the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
