On August 15, the Feast of the Assumption, Rev. Mr. Robert W. Andrews — a member of the Thomas Aquinas College Board of Governors — became a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese of San Francisco, marking the culmination of a five-year program of formation. Deacon Andrews received the Sacrament of Holy Orders at St. Pius Catholic Church in Redwood City, at the hands of a dear friend of Thomas Aquinas College — the Most Rev.

Dr. John W. Neumayr, longtime tutor and one of the founders of Thomas Aquinas College, will undergo heart-valve replacement surgery on Thursday, September 10, at 8:00 a.m. Though his doctors are confident the procedure will go well, please pray that the surgery will be successful and that Dr. Neumayr will quickly be restored to his accustomed energy and vigor.

The ad depicts three generations of a family walking across the College’s sunny California campus: The silver-haired grandfather offers sage advice to his son, a young man clasping the hand of his own child — an adorable redheaded boy of about three years, who gazes up admiringly at his forbears.
