Today marks the 90th birthday of Thomas Aquinas College’s beloved Jesuit chaplain, Rev. Cornelius M. Buckley, S.J. To celebrate the occasion, the community surprised Fr. Buckley at lunchtime with a gift of a new CD player, several discs, a cake, and the singing of “Happy Birthday.”

“The Entropy Players,” an auxiliary of Thomas Aquinas College’s St. Genesius Players, staged an informal production of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest on Saturday night. The performance — which starred four seniors, Jon Turrentine as Jack Worthing, Sean Donnelly as Algernon Mocrieff, Gianna Coccia as Gwendolyn Fairfax, and Gabrielle Buonocore as Cecily Cardew — took place on the lawn of the Doheny Hacienda, the official residence of Thomas Aquinas College’s president.
