After the close of classes on Friday, January 24, more than 200 Thomas Aquinas College students met up in a campus parking lot to begin their pilgrimage to San Francisco and the 10th annual Walk for Life West Coast. They prayed together, received a blessing from Head Chaplain Rev. Joseph Illo, and listened to last-minute instructions before boarding three buses and numerous cars for the voyage north.

Dozens of Thomas Aquinas College students, wearing their red Carpe Veritatem sweatshirts, can be spotted marching through the streets of San Francisco in ABC 7’s coverage of Saturday’s Walk for Life West Coast. On Monday, members of the Sisters of Life visited Thomas Aquinas College to meet with students who may be discerning vocations to the religious life. The community, founded by John Joseph Cardinal O’Connor, is dedicated to serving pregnant women in crisis and to championing the pro-life cause. The Sisters visited the College en route to the 2014 Walk for Life West Coast, where they will march alongside some 50,000 other pro-lifers, including more than 200 of the College’s students.

This past weekend some 25 Thomas Aquinas College seniors and tutors enjoyed an educational tour of one of Los Angeles’ finest art museums led by an expert docent — College Governor Maria O. Grant.
