At Thomas Aquinas College’s Summer Great Books Program, you will be challenged to wonder...

...to think about and discuss the big questions — questions that philosophers, scientists, mathematicians, poets, and saints have asked throughout history — and hunger for the answers:

“What is man?”

“Can we come to know anything with certainty?”

“Does God exist?”

It is your turn to wonder about these fundamental questions and step closer to knowing their answers! The Summer Great Books Program will help you to start down the path toward wisdom.

Fr. Sebastian offers outdoor Mass during a hikeAfter your two weeks on the program, your verbal jousting skills will be sharper than ever. Every class is conducted using the Discussion Method, beginning with a question designed to help you think deeply about the text at hand.

You will dive into some of the best works of the past 2,500 years, selected from the masters of the Western intellectual tradition — Plato, Pascal, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Kierkegaard, to name a few.

These authors have all attempted to answer these foundational questions about reality, all of them in search of the truth.

We want to give you the opportunity to consider these same questions, to pursue truth.

Will you accept the challenge?
