EWTN interviews TAC students at the Walk for Life West Coast

At this past weekend’s Walk for Life in San Francisco, EWTN’s Br. John Therese Marie, MFVA, spoke with Thomas Aquinas College classmates Maria Brittain and Anna van Wijk (CA’24), as well as sophomore Eli Hunt (CA’25), about TAC students’ involvement in the pro-life cause.

“I didn’t have any understanding of the movement until I came to college here,” Mr. Hunt told Br. John Therese. Discovering that movement set the stage for another, deeper discovery. “I converted at the College, because of this overwhelming love that we have for all these women and all these babies that we’re trying to protect.”

The students insisted that the goal of events such as the Walk is not antagonism but, as Mr. Hunt described it, “displaying Christ-like prayer for others and showing Christ-like love for others.” Echoed Miss van Wijk, “It’s about hope and inspiration and encouragement. … Life is beautiful, and it’s worth marching for, and it’s worth loving.”

To close the interview, nearly 300 TAC-California students expressed their agreement, joining voices to cheer for life.
