One by one, cars pulled up and were loaded. Suitcases were tucked away, and students waved through windows, eyes shining with tears and joy. Some sobbed openly; others smiled bravely.
This was not a sad ending, but a full one. In the span of days, strangers had become friends, laughter had turned into tradition, and learning had become a shared adventure. They departed changed, bonded by books and beauty, music and math, art and argument — and above all, by a community that had formed in ways none of them could have predicted.
And so, the New England High School Summer Program ends — but before signing off, a few thank-yous are in order:
A whole host of good people began putting together this program almost a year ago, starting with Program Director Dr. Josef Froula and Director of Admissions John Jost, giving their all to make these two weeks a memorable testament to all that TAC has to offer. The Admissions team has put in boundless energy and effort. And the prefects, who leave the program happily exhausted, have poured their hearts and souls into sharing the college they love.

We would also like to take a moment to thank the TAC students who have made this blog possible: Our writer, Ántonia Fitzpatrick (NE’27), who artfully crafted each day’s updates; our photographer, Anastasia O’Brien (NE’28), who captured so many beautiful pictures; and our web assistant, Elizabeth Doylend (NE’26), who has arduously constructed all the posts and slideshows.

Of course, neither the blog nor the program itself would be possible without the students — who sacrificed two weeks of precious summer vacation to return to the classroom for a firsthand experience of Catholic liberal education — and their parents, who entrusted them to the College’s care. Thank you!
And, above all, we give thanks to the Triune God from Whom all blessings flow. Deo gratias!
