St. Thérèse Legacy Month October 1 – November 2 Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux – All Souls Day

President Paul J. O’Reilly , Ph.D.

Dear friend,

Whenever I am asked to identify my top priority as the new president of Thomas Aquinas College, I have an answer at the ready: to preserve the mission of the College.

That may not be the most exciting answer, but it’s the only one that matters.

Yes, there are other concerns — meeting the needs of a growing student body, hiring excellent faculty on both coasts, resisting legal or regulatory actions that threaten our religious liberty — but those goals would all be for naught if we did not, first and foremost, preserve our mission of Catholic liberal education.

TAC is the lone college in the United States where students learn entirely from the Great Books of the Western tradition under the light of the Catholic faith. It is a sacred legacy handed on to us by our founders and our benefactors. We are determined to uphold it — and to resist the mission drift that has befallen all too many institutions.

Aiding us in this effort are men and women who are so committed to this legacy that they have made it their own. These are the members of our St. Thérèse of Lisieux Legacy Society. Through various forms of planned giving, most commonly estate planning, the Society’s members help sustain this truly unique college, where faith and reason together abide.

Today marks the feast of the Society’s patroness, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and the start of the College’s Legacy Month. Over the next few weeks we will celebrate the generous men and women who have made it their legacy to preserve the mission of Thomas Aquinas College.

Please take a moment and fill out this quick form, expressing your interest in learning more about the St. Thérèse of Lisieux Legacy Society.

There is no obligation, but, God willing, you may find that the Society can become part of your “little way” to establish a legacy and leave a brighter future for generations to come.

St. Thérèse of Lisieux, pray for us!
