To meet rising demand for its longstanding High School Great Books Programs, Thomas Aquinas College is expanding the number of offerings this summer from three to four. And, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous benefactor, it is giving discounts of $200 or $400 for the first 30 admitted students to register for each program.

“Over the last eight years, we have gone from just one program to four — for one week or two, in California or New England,” says Jon Daly, California director of admissions. “We are thrilled to get to make this life-changing experience available to even more rising high school seniors at a discounted rate that makes it more affordable than ever.”

All in all, rising high school seniors will have their choice of the following four programs for 2026:

  • New England One Week: June 23–July 1
  • California Two Week: July 5-18
  • New England Two Week: July 12-25
  • California One-Week: July 26–August 2

Moreover, aided by a grant from a philanthropic foundation, the College is offering steep discounts in the price of the programs. The first 30 registrants in each High Summer School Summer Program will receive a discount of $200 (one-week programs) or $400 (two-week programs).

For all High School Summer Programs, both in California and New England, attendees can expect to dive into Socratic seminars to study literature, theology, Euclidean geometry, and more through the Great Books; get a taste of the College’s culture with activities both on and off campus; participate in the deep Catholic spiritual life of the community; and form lifelong friendships with like-minded, students from around the country and the world.

“We believe this education is unlike any other, and you will likely only have one chance in your lifetime to discern if it is the right fit for you,” says John Jost, New England director of admissions. “Now that we can offer this opportunity to an expanded number of students at a discounted rate, there has never been a better time to explore our program of Catholic liberal education.”
