After the excitement of yesterday’s section games, a peaceful hush lay over campus this morning.

On Monday during recreation, athletes prepared for the final sports tournament of the Summer Program: a soccer championship!

Students marched to the Pope St. John Paul II Athletic Center after Monday’s classes to kick off what the New England High School Summer Program’s Section Games, in which the four classroom sections (12 students each) faced off in a series of challenges designed to test their speed, strategy, and team spirit.

The students on the California High School Summer Program demonstrated their increasing aptitude for mathematics and philosophy in the classroom today.

The first full day of the Great Books High School Summer Program at Thomas Aquinas College, New England, began early for a few ambitious students who joined prefects at the gym, starting the morning with conversation and a workout.

Despite Saturday’s long day at the beach and in Santa Barbara, a group of adventurous students woke up bright and early Sunday for a sunrise hike to the Punch Bowls in Los Padres National Forest. 

To close out arrival day on the New England High School Summer Program, students enjoyed a BBQ dinner, followed by the Orientation meeting.
