Reading: Question 16 of the Prima Pars of the Summa Theologiae

One Friday evening night each semester, groups of about 20 Thomas Aquinas College students from all classes — seniors and freshmen, sophomores and juniors — gather in classrooms across both campuses for the semi-annual All-College Seminar. Although separate, these groups engage in a single, common activity, namely, reading, analyzing, and discussing the same text, one that is not part of the College’s ordinary curriculum.

Each fall the returning students at Thomas Aquinas College take turns hosting welcome dances for members of the Freshman Class. This past Saturday on the New England campus, the Seniors hosted the first dance of the semester, welcoming the Class of 2025 at the Tracy Student Center. “The Senior Class was so excited to host a dance, especially for the Freshmen Class and for the entire student body,” said Simone Kelly (’21), who helped with decorations.

To mark the completion of the first week of classes at Thomas Aquinas College, New England, last Friday, prefects served root-beer floats to their fellow students outside the Gould Commons. “This is a great way to reward the students for completing their first week on campus,” said senior Peter Goyette, who helped set up the social.

“This year marks another milestone in the brief history of our New England campus,” President Michael F. McLean told students at Thomas Aquinas College’s Matriculation ceremony in Northfield, Massachusetts, on Saturday. “We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Thomas Aquinas College and, for the first time, we have members of all four classes on this new campus. We eagerly anticipate our first New England Commencement in May of 2022.”
