On Saturday afternoon some 20 Thomas Aquinas College students gathered at the Ventura Planned Parenthood to sing Christmas Carols, “spreading the joy of Christ,” as senior Rachel Rivera described it, “to those who are blind to the joy of birth.” In an effort to encourage hope, the group, organized by junior Ryan Uchison,
“We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You,” intoned Thomas Aquinas College’s head chaplain, Rev. Joseph Illo. In reply, some 200 voices answered, “Because, by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.”
On Thursday, March 29, students at Thomas Aquinas College were treated to an hour-long question-and-answer session with a visitor who is widely considered among the world’s greatest living actors, Sir Anthony Hopkins.
